What's included with every rental?
Captained charters are all-inclusive: your licensed captain, gas, a cooler with ice, a Bluetooth party speaker, and floats and mat. Drive-it-yourself rentals come with a full tank of gas, and you can add a tube, cooler, floaties, Maui Mat, or Bluetooth speaker for a small fee. Bring your people, your drinks, and your sunscreen.
Do I need a boating license?
Not for a captained charter. For drive-it-yourself rentals you must be 25 or older with a valid driver's license plus a boating certification or USCG license.
Can I drive the boat myself?
Yes. Drive-it-yourself rentals are available on our tritoons with 250 HP motors. You must be 25 or older with a valid driver's license plus a boating certification or USCG license, and documents and waivers are submitted online before your trip. See pricing for rates.
What does it cost?
Captained charters are all-inclusive at $695 for 4 hours, $995 for 6 hours, and $1195 for 8 hours. Drive-it-yourself rentals run $495 for 4 hours, $595 for 6 hours, and $695 for 8 hours, with multiple day rentals available if you call. Full details on the pricing page.
How many people can come?
Up to 13 passengers per vessel under Coast Guard rules. If your group is bigger, call us and we will figure out a plan.
Can we swim?
Yes. When the Captain says it is safe to get in, the water is all yours. Floaties are provided, so you can hop in or just hang on and drift.
Can we bring alcohol?
Yes, as long as everyone drinks responsibly. The Captain has final say on what is safe. One ask: skip the glass bottles.
What about weather?
The Captain makes the safety call. If severe weather forces a cancellation, we reschedule your trip based on availability.
Where do we meet?
We are at the 7 mile marker on the Gravois Arm of the Lake of the Ozarks. Need pickup at your dock or Airbnb? We can do that. The first 7 water miles are free, then $20 per mile beyond that. Enter your mile marker and lake arm on the booking page for a live estimate. Your captain confirms the final mileage before anything is charged.
Is there a deposit?
Yes. A $200 booking deposit is due at time of booking and is applied to your rental price, for both captained charters and drive-it-yourself rentals. Self-drive rentals also carry a $1,000 refundable damage deposit, released after the boat comes back in good shape.
Do I need to sign anything?
Yes. The person who books completes a charter agreement, and every passenger completes a liability waiver. Both take a couple of minutes on your phone at serengetiloz.com/waivers.
