Required Documentation for Your Adventure

Before getting on the water with Serengeti Rentals, the person who booked completes the Charter Agreement, and every passenger completes the Participant Liability Waiver.

Charter Agreement Overview

This Charter Agreement is entered into between Serengeti Rentals LLC ("Operator") and the person completing this form ("Charter Guest"). By completing this agreement, the Charter Guest agrees to the terms and conditions governing the booking and operation of a captained boat charter provided by Serengeti Rentals LLC at Lake of the Ozarks or other Missouri waterways.

Charter Services Agreement. Serengeti Rentals provides captained boat rentals and private charters. The charter includes a licensed captain responsible for safe operation of the vessel. Charter details such as duration, pickup location, and vessel assignment will be confirmed prior to the trip. The Captain has full authority over the vessel, route, safety decisions, and operation of the charter.

Passenger Limits

For safety and compliance with U.S. Coast Guard regulations, Serengeti Rentals LLC charters are limited to a maximum of 13 passengers per vessel unless otherwise approved by the Operator. The Charter Guest agrees to ensure the total number of passengers does not exceed the allowed limit.

Captain Authority & Safety

The Captain is responsible for the safe operation of the vessel at all times. All passengers must follow the Captain's instructions regarding safety, behavior, and operation of the vessel. Serengeti Rentals LLC reserves the right to end the charter early without refund if passengers engage in unsafe, illegal, or dangerous behavior. Examples include but are not limited to:

Alcohol & Conduct Policy

Alcohol may be permitted during certain charters; however, passengers acknowledge that alcohol consumption increases risk on the water. The Charter Guest agrees to ensure all members of their group behave responsibly and comply with all safety instructions provided by the Captain. Serengeti Rentals LLC reserves the right to terminate the charter if unsafe or disruptive behavior occurs.

Weather Policy

Weather conditions on the water can change rapidly. The Captain will determine whether conditions are safe for operation. If severe or unsafe weather conditions occur, the charter may be delayed, rescheduled, or cancelled at the Captain's discretion. Safety decisions made by the Captain are final.

Charter Changes & Cancellations

Cancellations, rescheduling, and deposits are subject to Serengeti Rentals LLC policies communicated at the time of booking. Weather-related cancellations may be rescheduled based on availability.

Damage & Responsibility

The Charter Guest is responsible for the behavior of all passengers in their group. The Charter Guest may be financially responsible for damages caused by negligence, intentional damage, or reckless behavior by any member of the group. This includes damage to the vessel, equipment, or property.

Passenger Liability Waivers

All passengers participating in the charter must complete the Serengeti Rentals LLC Participant Liability Waiver prior to boarding the vessel. The Charter Guest agrees to:

Assumption of Responsibility for Group

The Charter Guest confirms they are responsible for coordinating their group and ensuring all passengers follow safety instructions and complete required documentation. Serengeti Rentals LLC is not responsible for managing individual passenger paperwork beyond providing the waiver link.

Photo & Media Permission

Photos or video may be taken during charter experiences. These images may be used by Serengeti Rentals LLC for marketing or promotional purposes unless otherwise requested in writing.

Serengeti Rentals LLC Participant Liability Waiver & Assumption of Risk

Before participating in activities with Serengeti Rentals LLC, all guests must review and agree to this liability waiver. This document explains the risks associated with boating and water activities and outlines the responsibilities of all participants. Please read the information carefully before continuing. Acknowledgement of Risk

Participation in boating and water-related activities involves inherent risks. These risks may include but are not limited to:

Participants acknowledge that Lake of the Ozarks and other waterways may contain hidden obstacles and conditions that cannot always be predicted. By participating in activities with Serengeti Rentals LLC, I voluntarily assume all risks associated with being on or around the vessel and water.

Release of Liability

In consideration of being permitted to participate in activities provided by Serengeti Rentals LLC, I agree to release and hold harmless Serengeti Rentals LLC, its owners, captains, crew members, employees, contractors, and affiliates from any liability, claims, demands, or causes of action arising from participation in boating or water-related activities, except in cases of gross negligence or intentional misconduct. This release includes but is not limited to personal injury, illness, property damage, or loss.

Captain Authority & Safety Rules

The Captain is responsible for the safe operation of the vessel and all safety decisions during the charter. Participants agree to follow all safety instructions provided by the Captain. Serengeti Rentals LLC reserves the right to terminate the trip or remove passengers from the vessel if unsafe or disruptive behavior occurs.

Alcohol Responsibility

Alcohol may be present during certain charter activities. Participants acknowledge that alcohol consumption can impair judgment and increase risk while on or near the water. Participants agree to act responsibly and follow the Captain's instructions at all times.

Swimming & Water Entry

Entering the water during the charter may be permitted only when approved by the Captain. Participants acknowledge that swimming in open water carries inherent risks including fatigue, underwater hazards, and boat traffic.

Medical Responsibility

Participants certify that they are physically able to participate in boating activities and have no medical conditions that would make participation unsafe. Participants accept responsibility for their own medical needs during the charter.

Personal Property

Serengeti Rentals LLC is not responsible for lost or damaged personal items brought aboard the vessel, including phones, jewelry, sunglasses, or other valuables.

Photo & Media Release (Optional)

Photos or videos may be taken during charter experiences. These images may be used by Serengeti Rentals LLC for promotional or marketing purposes unless otherwise requested.
